Join us at a special preview of the first episode of the new series of the BAFTA-winning BBC drama The Fall. 

The story picks up where series one left off, with Gibson in pursuit of Spector. A personal link from Spector’s past opens up some clues for Gibson but provokes Spector in way that threatens to jeopardise the whole investigation. Gibson is forced to take ever greater risks but the closer she comes to capturing him, the more Spector trespasses into her private world, delighting in taunting and provoking her. As the net gradually tightens around him he becomes psychologically ever more dangerous and destructive. 

The Fall is a Fables Limited production in association with Artists Studio. It’s produced by Gub Neal and Julian Stevens with Allan Cubitt, Justin Thomson-Glover and Patrick Irwin acting as executive producers. The series was commissioned by Janice Hadlow, outgoing Controller of BBC Two and Ben Stephenson, Controller of Drama Commissioning.

Jamie to star in "The 9th Life of Louis Drax" Movie!

Fifty Shades of Grey star Jamie Dornan has been cast as the lead in Miramax's psychological thriller The 9th Life of Louis Drax. Alexandre Aja (Horns, The Hills Have Eyes) will direct. 

The film, which will begin shooting in Vancouver in October, marks Miramax's return to the film production business. The once-busy label that spawned such indie hits as Shakespeare in Love and Good Will Hunting had concentrated its focus in recent years on its library assets. From its coffers, Miramax dusted off Liz Jensen's best-selling novel of the same name, which it first optioned in 2004 with plans for the film to be adapted and directed by the late Anthony Minghella. 

Max Minghella, Anthony's son, wrote Louis Drax, which marks the actor's screenwriting debut. Minghella is producing alongside Antcolony Films' Tim Bricknell (The No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency), Brightlight Pictures' Shawn Williamson (50/50) and Aja. The film will be executive produced by Rosanne Korenberg (Half Nelson).

Zanne Devine, Miramax's executive vp of production and development, will oversee the project on behalf of the studio. Sierra/Affinity will serve as the international sales agent, introducing the title at the upcoming Toronto International Film Festival. 

"Tim and I are thrilled this deeply personal project is being brought to fruition with passion and integrity," Minghella said. "We look forward to collaborating with Alex and Miramax to create a truly original movie that will captivate and surprise audiences."

Jamie Dornan will be back playing killer Paul Spector in The Fall next month.

BAFTA announced today there will be a screening for the hit BBC thriller in September in London. 

It means Dornan and Gillian Anderson - who plays Detective Superintendent Stella Gibson will be reunited on screen. The pair will also do a Q&A at the September screening. 

It’s thought the second series of the crime drama could then go out in October on BBC2.

The Fall season two will also feature former Merlin star Colin Morgan in a lead role, playing DS Tom Anderson.

Describing his role in the drama, Dornan admitted it was full-on.

He said: "I don’t think it would have been too good for me to stay in that head space for three months. When it was appropriate, I would make someone laugh. There were scenes where I’ve got a ligature around my victim’s neck and I’m pretending to squeeze with all my life. She’s foaming at the mouth, my sweat’s ­dripping in her eyes, I’m watching her die and her eyes are bulging. After every one of those scenes, when they’d say, ‘Cut!’ I was saying, ‘Oh my God I’m so sorry. I’m going to untie your feet here. Is that OK?’ Because I am not that guy. I did my best to slip out of it as soon as ‘cut’ was called."

The all-day affair included a picnic lunch from Fortnum & Mason and cocktails at sunset after all 22 teams of four returned from their drives across the 1.100-acre property.

Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe has predicted that 50 Shades of Grey's Jamie Dornan will have the pick of roles after landing the major gig.

Radcliffe said that landing the role of billionaire Christian Grey will give the Belfast actor the freedom to choose future projects.

Both actors have played the lead characters in two of the best-selling book series of all time, with each shifting hundreds of million of copies worldwide.

Radcliffe said he does not believe being associated with such an iconic character as Grey will hinder The Fall star Dornan (32).

"I think it's an amazing opportunity to get your work seen by loads of people," he said. "I consider myself lucky that I've already done a huge film franchise.

"Jamie will be able to have control over his career and pick his scripts, which is a position that only a tiny percentage of actors are in.

"Any actor growing up who gets a chance to do something that will take control of their career would be foolish not to take it. I don't think it will hinder him."

Former Calvin Klein model Dornan is now reportedly being targeted by director Guy Ritchie for the lead in his King Arthur series.

However, his first movie after 50 Shades will see him in the leading role in home-grown film, The Siege of Jadotville.

Radcliffe (25), who was visiting Dublin, caught up with pals from the 2012 Dubin All-Ireland-winning minor football team.

Jamie, who is to play hunk Christian Grey in Fifty Shades Of Grey, is apparently committed to a three-film deal with Universal, the studio behind the big-screen adaptation of EL James' novels. 

But the Northern Irish actor is interested in trying new roles, with the insider adding: "Jamie is keen to take on other roles and prove that he's an adaptable actor." 

Idris Elba is said to be in talks to play Bedivere, Arthur's father's right-hand man, who will teach his son how to lead an army. 

The film, which has been written by Joby Harold, is Warner Bros' new take on the English myth. It will tell the story of King Arthur and his knights of the kingdom of Camelot and is scheduled for release in July 2016.
