Gillian Anderson mentions Jamie and "The Fall" on Reddit AMA

Gillian Anderson menciona a Jamie y "The Fall" en Reddit AMA.

How was it like shooting The Fall with Jamie Dornan? Did anything change after it was anounced he will take the lead role in Fifty Shades of Grey? (I hope you teased him properly for that!)

Gillian Anderson: The only thing that changed was people's desire to talk about him. Whereas before it was "who"? afterwards it was "That guy! That guy in 50 shades!" Before he'd even shot it. Very funny.

You appeared in many brilliant TV shows, but the one I'm looking forward to the most is definitely The Fall. The show was mesmerising in it's first season and we waited for quite a long time, should I be afraid my expectations of season 2 are too high?

Gillian Anderson: Definitely not. Season 2 is better than season 1, even. I promise.

Massive fan here, and I just wanted to say I really enjoyed watching The Fall last year, you were just perfect for the role. Just two questions: 1) What's the most fun day you've ever had while on set (of any movie or series)? (...)

Gillian Anderson: 1) Hmph...I think probably the set of The Fall. It's a small crew, and a quiet crew. The show is handled with care and respect, and that comes from the top all the way down. Also playing: I really enjoy living in Stella's shoes. (...)

Gillian Anderson talks about "The Fall" Season 2 and Jamie

Gillian Anderson habla sobre "The Fall" Season 2 & Jamie.

Season two of The Fall is currently airing in England. What are you allowed to tell us about it?

Gillian Anderson: I’m not allowed to tell you much. The story evolves considerably, and is even more provocative and disturbing in the right way than the first. I was very excited and grateful that the second season topped even our first season in terms of what takes part in the scripts. [The show's creator] Allan Cubitt directed it, and I think he has done an extraordinary job. I can tell you that much.

When it first debuted, was there any controversy in casting Jamie Dornan as the serial killer? He’s so attractive, it really plays with you as a viewer. You are attracted to him and repelled by him at the same time.

Gillian Anderson: Exactly. The initial intention was not to hire somebody who was that attractive. However, it was clear that he was very much the man for the job. It didn’t have anything to do with his good looks, although in the process we realized what that would do psychologically to the viewer. There was something intriguing about that, most definitely.

Jamie is also starring in the film Fifty Shades of Grey. When that comes out in February, he will become globally famous on a crazy level. Have you given him any advice about how to handle growing fame?

Gillian Anderson: Jamie is one of the most grounded people I know. He has a really good head on his shoulders. He has a wonderful relationship with his family and friends. He has a really lovely wife and a lovely family life with his new baby. He’s got it all in perspective, and has a very appropriate and right-sized take on all of this. I don’t think he needs any advice.

Gillian Anderson: Yo no estoy autorizada a decir mucho.

David Gandy talks about Jamie

David Gandy habla sobre Jamie.

(...) Alas, David refused the Grey offer. On revelation of the snub, he was quoted saying, "I was asked to go it, but said, 'no'. I thought it was very badly written."

It eventually went to Jamie Dornan, an agreeably incredibly handsome alternative.

Today, perched in a quiet corner of a Mayfair pub at lunchtime, while London's city boys and girls natter and clink in the background, Gandy's now taking a different stance on the rejection.

"Firstly, I appreciated the book…"

Now there's a turnaround. "I read bits of it and whatever critics say," he clutches, "it's incredibly popular with immense power.

"Jamie's a great actor and he'll do the part real justice. It'll be seen by millions and he'll land a number of films from that.

"Difference is, he's been pursuing this. He did the BBC series, [The Fall].

"It's something that Jamie wants and I'm a lot shyer than him. He's a musician, he's gone out with very famous women. Movie stars. He's much more comfortable in that, whereas I'm much more secretive.

"Fifty Shades is going to send him into the stratosphere and I still like to be able to go about my day."

New Interview of Jamie with Daily Record + Bill Murray talks about Jamie

Nueva Entrevista de Jamie con Daily Record + Bill Murray habla sobre Jamie.

FIFTY Shades Of Grey Star Jamie Dornan might be giving ladies around the world hot flushes but the strapping actor used to be found sweating it out on the dancefloor of a Scots nightclub.

Jamie, who plays erotic billionaire Christian Grey in the forthcoming movie of the best selling book, was in Scotland to play the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship and revealed that he used to be a regular at The Glasgow Garage club and student unions.

Coming off the 18th hole at Carnoustie he said: "I've done my time in Scotland. I spent a lot of time here with student friends. They were all in Glasgow so I had many a fun night in Glasgow. It's been a while now, probably about ten years ago, but we'd go to The Garage. That was one of the clubs and the students union was always a big one. I doubt I was a hit with the Scottish ladies."

Jamie, whose wife Amelia Warner gave birth to their first child in December, wasn't enamoured with his play on the course, despite his film character's reputation for er, swinging.

After joking we'd heard he was good at the sport he replied: "Who did you hear that from? This is my first time playing golf here and it's tricky out there. I'm hoping it's going to get easier but the rain is coming tomorrow so I doubt that. I was here in 1999 when Jean van Delvelde was having fun in the burn there and Paul Laurie took it home. I was 17 years old and stood here on the 18th green watching all this happen."

Gillian Anderson talks about "The Fall" and Jamie

Gillian Anderson habla sobre "The Fall" & Jamie.

Her character DCI Stella Gibson isn’t so quick to schedule time off from her hunt for serial killer Paul Spector, but the former X Files star often finds similarities between herself and the detective.

“There are aspects of Stella that I’m familiar with in my own personality. I feel I’ve been able to make peace with myself more because she’s so unapologetic about the island that she is. ‘Yeah [I am a solitary person], I mean my [romantic] partners have consistently said, “You live this life I have no idea about. The idea of saying [to them], “I’m thinking about doing this film, let’s talk about what it means for our life… It’s challenging for me. It’s not my first instinct. My first instinct is to decide, “Can I do this? Yes I can.””

Thankfully her co-star, Jamie Dornan – who plays serial killer Paul Spector – isn’t very similar to his character. The “funny” actor turned model was practically unheard of before starring in the drama and now he is the topic of most conversations.

She said: “I’ve been surprised at how funny he is… He’s very, very funny and good at telling stories. He’s a good mimic as well. He’s a lovely young lad. On the first series, people were like, “Who is this guy? Is he an ex-model or something?”Now people don’t ever want to talk to me about The X-Files. They only want to ask about Jamie Dornan.”

Jennifer Morrison talks about "Once Upon a Time" and mentions Jamie

Jennifer Morrison habla sobre "Once upon a time" y menciona a Jamie.

Regina, however, may be redeeming circumstances by herself by trying to rewrite the "Once Upon a Time" book of stories that seems to predict everyone's fate. If Regina is somehow able to rewrite history for the sake of her happy ending, we asked Morrison who of Emma's former beaus would she want to have a second chance at life.

"I think they should all come back!" Morrison says excitedly. "I feel like Jamie Dornan was absolutely wonderful. Emma and Graham had a beautiful chemistry that was its own thing. I absolutely loved working with Michael Raymond-James and I feel like Emma and Neal had a chemistry that was different, but absolutely wonderful. Plus, who doesn't want a bunch of hot talented men around?"

In the meantime, Karen (33) will appear in the upcoming second series of the hit thriller The Fall, starring the equally chiselled Jamie Dornan and Gillian Anderson.

She will reprise her role as accountant Annie Brawley, who will recover from an attack in the last series by Dornan's creepy serial killer character, Paul Spector.

"The question is, what effect has the horrific strangulation had on her brain," says the actress in that young, unaffected voice.

Bronagh Waugh talks about Jamie and "The Fall"

Coleraine-born Bronagh Waugh, who returns to our screens soon in the second series of crime thriller The Fall, tells Jenny Lee the personal reason why she is supporting this month's Macmillan coffee morning

WHAT'S it like being Jamie Dornan's wife? That's the question Bronagh Waugh has been asked many times since hugely popular BBC Two crime thriller The Fall hit our television screens last year.In the Belfast-set series, which follows a PSNI investigation into a string of murders, Bronagh plays Sally-Ann Spector, the wife of serial killer Paul Spector (Dornan). "I get asked about Jamie all the time. He's a really nice guy and I'm really proud of him but it's just like working with any other actor," Bronagh says.

Former model Dornan is playing the lead in a much-anticipated screen adaptation of the steamy novel Fifty Shades of Grey. Will she be going to the premiere? "I'm sure we will all go and see it to support Jamie but I haven't read the books," the 31-year-old Northern Ireland actress admits. "I got to page 30 but it wasn't my cup of tea."

The Fall is rumoured to be returning to our screens early next month. So will Sally finally realise her husband is a murderer or will she be his next victim? "I'd have to kill you, Jenny, if I told you anything," Bronagh jokes. "We are totally under lock and key about it. All I can say is it's going to be fabulous."

Daniel Radcliffe talks about Jamie

Daniel Radcliffe habla sobre Jamie.

Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe has predicted that 50 Shades of Grey's Jamie Dornan will have the pick of roles after landing the major gig.

Radcliffe said that landing the role of billionaire Christian Grey will give the Belfast actor the freedom to choose future projects.

Both actors have played the lead characters in two of the best-selling book series of all time, with each shifting hundreds of million of copies worldwide.

Radcliffe said he does not believe being associated with such an iconic character as Grey will hinder The Fall star Dornan (32).

"I think it's an amazing opportunity to get your work seen by loads of people," he said. "I consider myself lucky that I've already done a huge film franchise.

"Jamie will be able to have control over his career and pick his scripts, which is a position that only a tiny percentage of actors are in.

"Any actor growing up who gets a chance to do something that will take control of their career would be foolish not to take it. I don't think it will hinder him."

Former Calvin Klein model Dornan is now reportedly being targeted by director Guy Ritchie for the lead in his King Arthur series.

However, his first movie after 50 Shades will see him in the leading role in home-grown film, The Siege of Jadotville.

Radcliffe (25), who was visiting Dublin, caught up with pals from the 2012 Dubin All-Ireland-winning minor football team.

"Question 2: How did you come up with the idea to wear Graham's shoe lace? #askjen #uglyducklings"

". @gozdeuca A common theme that came up in the memoirs that I read written by people who had beed raised in the foster system, was that they held onto small significant objects that they kept with them their whole lives.Graham was extremely significant to Emma and I wanted to find something she could keep with her in memory of him. The shoelace was something that @jamiedornan and I came up with while chatting about this idea. His boots, missing one lace, are still in Emma's office in the sherif station as well. ‪#‎askjen‬ ‪#‎uglyducklings‬"

# # Askjen uglyducklings "

"Fifty Shades of Grey" Screenwriter, Kelly Marcel, talks about the Script and mentions Jamie!

Fans can expect an Oscar-worthy performance from Jamie Dornan in Fifty Shades of Grey—that is, if there was an Academy Award for Best Sexual Performance in a Film (and there really should be).

Screenwriter Kelly Marcel joked that the actor's sexy scenes in the highly anticipated film adaptation is worthy of a golden statue (cue the excitement squeals!), while appearing at a Q&A at DBA in Hollywood for their "An Evening in the Writer's Room" series hosted by Reza Aslan last week.

When asking how difficult it is to write a sex scene, Aslan recited a line from the book, "Mmmm...he's soft and hard at once, like steel encased in velvet, surprisingly tasty, salty and smooth. He's my own Christian Grey- flavored popsicle."

Marcel laughed and said, "She says that, 'You are my popsicle.' That line went in, its genius. They apparently did that scene great. Apparently Jamie is great at being soft and hard at the same time. Which is hard to do for an actor! He's going to get an Oscar!"

But how does someone translate a "Christian Grey popsicle" on-screen? Marcel explained that scenes had to be very specific and descriptive in the script, adding that she couldn't just write, "They made love" and move on, making things awkward sometimes.

"I had to actually describe everything! It was really embarrassing when you're doing studio notes around the table with 12 people," she said.

*

Jim Dornan, Jamie's Father, talks about his Son!

Jim Dornan habla sobre Jamie.

Jamie Dornan portrays a sexual sadist in the feverishly anticipated film adaptation of E.L. James’s erotic novel, Fifty Shades Of Grey, but the actor is an ardent feminist, according to his father.

"Jamie might be playing Christian Grey, but he has inherited a total respect and commitment to women and women’s rights," Belfast obstetrician Jim Dornan tells me.

"We are all that way in the family. Jamie and my two daughters are very pro-women — I have influenced them  with that."

Jim adds of his dashing 32-year-old son: "As with the role Jamie’s playing, a lot of people are into all sorts of things, and I don’t think we should knock anything that people consent to."

*

Colin O'Donoghue talks about Jamie

Colin O'Donoghue habla sobre Jamie.

It has taken two and a half seasons for Emma and Hook to have a clear road to romantic bliss on ABC's "Once Upon a Time". With Neal out of the picture, ending the torturous love triangle, the only thing stopping these love birds is themselves -- and maybe the cast saying they'd love for Storybrooke's handsome Huntsman (Jamie Dornan) to return.

"I think Hook could take anyone, to be honest, but I'm bound to say that." Captain Hook actor Colin O'Donoghue brags to Zap2it in reference to any possible return of Sheriff Graham/The Huntsman. "Jamie is fantastic and a lovely guy. It'd be interesting to see how that would work, if there are any residuals from [Emma and Graham]."

*
